The Community Affairs Coordinator is responsible for effectively managing, implementing, and coordinating all aspects of community engagement, events, affairs, and outreach, grassroots activities, educational forums, town hall meetings, and health fairs. The coordinator will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all outreach and engagement activities are aligned with project objectives and are delivered promptly. Additionally, this position increases awareness of AltaMed and its priorities among the community, public, and non-traditional community by collaborating directly with all community partners.

• High School graduate required. Associate's degrees are highly desirable.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in community affairs or community relations programs and event planning and coordination is highly desired.

• A valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. Must be eligible to safely operate company vehicles, with no major moving violations within the past (3) years and no more than one (1) point on current DMV record.

• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) and experience working with the Latino community are preferred.
