The Residency Program Manager position manages all administrative, educational, and clinical aspects of residency training, including supporting the implementation of a comprehensive Family Medicine specialty schedule, educational curriculum, organizing and facilitating meetings and conferences, reports, didactic sessions, simulations, and recorded lectures. The manager is responsible for the day-to-day decision-making activities and works with leadership in strategic planning related to the residency program development within AltaMed. The RPM develops, manages, and coordinates complex project plans, calendars, and activities. In addition, the RPM assists with budget adherence and ensures adherence to legal and other compliance regulations applicable to the Residency Program. The position requires extensive program management skills and experience, including the ability to define program and process objectives, bring together key stakeholders, align and allocate human, technological, and fiscal resources to accomplish goals and objectives within timelines defined in the program plan. The RPM ensures residents are meeting ACGME milestones by tracking, monitoring, and reporting clinic and educational performance, including monitoring and evaluating program and staff performance, and providing direction to and supervision for staff who support projects for the Residency Program. The RPM provides oversight and support of Residents at AHWM and CHLA. This requires the RPM to work with those institutions and leaders to make sure the residency program is running smoothly. The RPM works with all levels of the organization in facilitating and coordinating cross-functional teams through all phases, including providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources; analyzing information, planning, prioritizing and evaluating results to choose the best solution and resolve challenges, including facilitating the different phases of the program (outreach, recruiting, selection, onboarding, program coordination and management). The RPM communicates with people outside the organization, represents the organization to patients, providers, the public, government, and other external sources.
