ALTEN Mexico as a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group is currently working with international clients, and we are looking for a CFD Analyst who will contribute to the development of an Iron Air Battery, a large-scale energy storage solution, with flow and heat-transfer simulation for scrubber, piping, cold-weather, and altitude-related work.

• →Develop CFD models for scrubber vessel concepts, integrated ducting, outlet filtration, piping, fittings, and baffles.
• →Assess flow rate, pressure drop, flowback risk, thermal impacts, and distribution uniformity.
• →Support altitude and cold-weather design assessments using available requirements and test results.
• →Perform design iterations and recommend geometry or component changes.
• →Document model setup, assumptions, mesh independence, results, risks, and validation needs.

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 5+ years of CFD or thermal-fluids analysis experience.
• Hands-on experience with CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or equivalent.
• Internal-flow CFD, pressure drop, flow distribution, recirculation, multiphase awareness, and thermal/heat-transfer analysis.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and numerical methods.
• Mesh generation, turbulence modeling, boundary-condition definition, convergence assessment, and result verification.
• Flow balancing for ducts, baffles, vessels, piping, fittings, scrubber systems, pumps, and heaters.

• Experience in energy storage systems (e.g., batteries, iron-air technology).

• Familiarity with large-scale mechanical or industrial projects.

• Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems (e.g., TeamCenter, Windchill).

• Experience in design optimization (e.g., topology optimization, weight reduction).
• Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design practices.

• Understanding of advanced manufacturing processes (e.g., additive manufacturing, CNC machining).
• Knowledge of material selection for extreme environments (e.g., corrosion resistance, high-temperature materials).
