  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and or MBA from an ABET accredited university (or equivalent)​
  • Knowledge of interior parts, focused on Complete interior seats.
  • Experience developing Performance Standards, Creating master sections and Surface feasibility proposal for PDO​
  • Design for Six Sigma DFSS experienced (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), Shainin Green Belt​
  • NX and Teamcenter knowledge​
  • Automotive Interior Product Design components/systems design/development/releasing experience ​
  • Experience with Tooling feasibility in Injection molded plastics/Decorative components​
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, leadership, organizational skills, excellent relationship building skills with the ability to work in a cross functional team environment​
  • Knowledge of Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), FEA, Mold Flow Virtual Validation, GD&T, and i-Speed
  • Well-rounded outward attitude
  • Willingness to present to Management
  • Knowledge of Quality Methods and tools (Green Belt -- DFSS/Reactive, SBT, 3L5Y)
  • Ability to lead colleagues from engineering, planning, and suppliers to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated potential to direct, teach, lead and inspire
  • Highly effective at communicating technical issues both verbally and written
  • ​Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)​
  • Strong technical knowledge of plastic design and system interfaces.​
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanism  and moving components interfaces.​
  • Strong communications skills and ability to convey technical information for understanding to various audiences (management/non-technical)​
  • Strong technical knowledge of plastic components and metal structures design and seat system interfaces.​
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanism, latches  and moving components interfaces.​
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Powertrain / Engine / Transmission operation and components. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lead and manage Suppliers.
  • Some travel required to Supplier and Corporate Engine/Transmission / Vehicle Assembly Plants -- including Canada & Mexico.
  • Green/black belt in Shainin or DFSS desirable.
