About the Role

~1 min read

At Alts, we're redefining what modern tailoring looks like by combining exceptional craftsmanship with an elevated hospitality experience. We're looking for a warm, organized, and service-oriented Front Desk Operations Representative to be the first point of contact for clients visiting one of our studios.

This is a client-facing, operational role at the heart of the studio experience. As a Front Desk Operations Representative, you'll help create a welcoming environment, manage appointments and transactions, maintain accurate order records, and ensure garments move smoothly through every stage of the client journey.

You'll work closely with the Studio Experience Manager, Studio Experience Coordinator, and tailoring team to deliver exceptional service while supporting the daily operations of the studio. Your attention to detail, communication, and ability to anticipate needs will help ensure every client feels cared for and every order is handled with accuracy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in hospitality, client experience, fashion, or studio operations within a growing company.

Compensation

  • Base rate: $18 per hour.
  • Independent studio coverage: $20 per hour for shifts worked independently without another Front Desk Operations Representative or Studio Experience Coordinator accompanying you.
  • Additional benefits: Full-time opportunities may include company benefits, subject to eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, professional, and welcoming environment for every client who enters the studio.
  • Greet clients, manage check-ins and pickups, and process payments with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Provide timely, thoughtful, and on-brand communication across in-person interactions, phone calls, and email.
  • Manage client appointments and bookings, ensuring an organized and seamless experience.
  • Listen carefully to client needs and provide helpful recommendations based on their service requirements.
  • Address client questions and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and contribute to an experience that encourages loyalty, referrals, and repeat visits.
  • Collect and communicate client feedback, recurring concerns, and opportunities to improve the studio experience.
  • Support the daily operation of the studio, maintaining an organized, professional, and client-ready environment.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, appointment requests, and general administrative communication.
  • Maintain studio supplies and inventory, including ordering, tracking, and organizing necessary materials.
  • Coordinate the handling, tagging, distribution, and delivery of garments sent to external vendors or other locations.
  • Support fitting room flow and appointment coordination to help clients and the tailoring team move efficiently through the studio.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and other daily operational procedures as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure administrative tasks are completed consistently and on time.
  • Identify operational challenges and communicate opportunities to improve efficiency and organization.
  • Create and maintain accurate order tickets throughout the garment's lifecycle at Alts.
  • Verify that client information, garment details, requested alterations, pricing, due dates, and special instructions are accurately documented.
  • Ensure garments entering or leaving the studio meet required front-of-house quality control and handling checkpoints.
  • Monitor order statuses and communicate discrepancies, missing information, or potential delays to the appropriate team members.
  • Properly document refunds, requests for assistance (RFAs), service issues, and process failures in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support accurate reporting by maintaining complete and reliable order records.
  • Coordinate with the tailoring team to help ensure garments are properly tracked and ready for client delivery.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures and protect the accuracy and integrity of every client transaction.
  • Partner with the Studio Experience Manager, Studio Experience Coordinator, and tailoring team to support daily studio priorities.
  • Communicate client needs, order updates, and operational concerns clearly and promptly.
  • Anticipate the needs of clients and teammates, helping create a supportive and collaborative studio environment.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, follow through on commitments, and ask for support when needed.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback that improve client service, administrative processes, and studio efficiency.
  • Participate in training, team meetings, and ongoing development opportunities to strengthen operational knowledge and service skills.
