Civil Designer (Land Development)

GHI Engineers and Surveyors is a long standing firm with new, young professionals stepping into senior management with goals to grow and continue to positively impact the community. We’re on the lookout for a sharp, motivated Civil Designer to join our Land Development team. If you love seeing your designs under construction and materialize into real-world neighborhoods, commercial centers, and public spaces, you’ll fit right in. 

What You’ll Do (The Short Version) 

• Bring Concepts to Life: Utilize Civil 3D to draft and design site layouts, grading plans, utility networks, and stormwater systems. 

• Problem Solve: Tackle the puzzles of stormwater management and complex ordinance regulations alongside our project managers and engineers. 

• Collaborate Daily: Work side-by-side with our internal teams of engineers, surveyors, and land planners to keep projects moving forward. 

• See the Impact: Watch your projects evolve from initial site surveys all the way to final construction. 

What You Bring to the Table 

• The Tools: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (this is your wheelhouse). 

• The Brainpower: An Associates in Computer Aided Design and Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience in land development drafting. 

• The Mindset: A sharp eye for detail, a proactive work ethic, and a genuine curiosity about how things get built. 

• The Communication: You work well in a team, aren't afraid to ask questions, and know how to collaborate effectively.
