Through our culture of making a real impact, fostering growth, embracing flexibility, and building connections, we enable them to live meaningful lives while making a difference in the world. ## In one sentence The Expert RAN Optimization Engineer optimizes LTE/NR and GSM radio networks, using OSS, Drive Test or KPI monitoring tools to improve network quality, capacity, coverage, mobility, and overall customer experience. ## What will your job look like? * Act as the technical authority for RAN performance, optimization methodologies, and strategic network evolution. * Define optimization standards, governance frameworks, KPI guardrails, and performance improvement strategies. * Lead Feature-on-Air (FOA) programs, feature trials, validation frameworks, and rollout governance activities. * Own post-change and FOA performance validation processes, including success criteria and rollback governance. * Define optimization strategies for 5G evolution, spectrum deployment, refarming, Massive MIMO, Carrier Aggregation, SON, and energy-efficiency initiatives. * Serve as final escalation point for major customer complaints, widespread network degradations, and critical RCA investigations. * Drive automation, AI-driven analytics, and closed-loop optimization initiatives. * Lead executive customer engagements, technical governance forums, and performance strategy reviews. * Develop optimization playbooks, best practices, capability-development programs, and technical roadmaps. ## All you need is... * 8+ years of experience in Radio Network Optimization, including significant LTE and 5G leadership experience. * Proven track record leading nationwide or multi-market optimization programs. * Extensive experience with Nokia RAN technologies and network modernization initiatives. * Demonstrated expertise in FOA governance, feature introduction, and network transformation projects. * Recognized Subject Matter Expert capable of advising senior customer stakeholders and executive management teams. Technical Skills * Expert knowledge of Nokia RAN architecture, NetAct, SON, LTE-Advanced Pro, and 5G Standalone architectures. * Deep expertise in Massive MIMO, Beamforming, Carrier Aggregation, VoNR, Network Slicing, and advanced mobility strategies. * Extensive knowledge of network performance engineering, KPI governance, and optimization methodologies. * Strong background in automation, scripting, AI/ML-based analytics, and closed-loop optimization. * Expert understanding of multi-operator Shared RAN environments, spectrum strategy, and capacity evolution. * Ability to define and govern technical standards across large-scale networks. * Strong commercial awareness and ability to align optimization strategy with customer SLA objectives. * Advanced understanding of trace analysis and troubleshooting.
