Through our culture of making a real impact, fostering growth, embracing flexibility, and building connections, we enable them to live meaningful lives while making a difference in the world. ## In one sentence The RAN Optimization Engineer optimizes LTE/NR and GSM radio networks, using OSS, Drive Test or KPI monitoring tools to improve network quality, capacity, coverage, mobility, and overall customer experience. ## What will your job look like? * Independently optimize assigned clusters, regions, or RAN domains to improve accessibility, retainability, mobility, capacity, throughput, customer experience. * Analyse and resolve customer complaints, service degradations, and performance issues using KPIs, counters, traces, alarms, and network configuration data. * Perform worst-cell treatment, mobility optimization, neighbour optimization, congestion mitigation, and load-balancing activities. * Execute parameter optimization initiatives and validate performance improvements against established baselines. * Conduct root cause analysis for recurring network issues and develop corrective action plans. * Perform drive-test and trace analysis to identify coverage, mobility, and quality deficiencies. * Support incident management activities and conduct post-change validation following network modifications and software upgrades. * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support automation opportunities within optimization workflows. ## All you need is... * 3-5 years of experience in Radio Network Optimization. * Proven experience independently managing optimization activities within LTE and 5G networks. * Hands-on experience with Nokia OSS and performance management tools. * Experience supporting customer-facing performance reviews and operational optimization activities. Technical Skills * Strong knowledge of LTE, LTE-Advanced, and 5G NR optimization principles. * Experience with mobility optimization, load balancing, congestion management, and parameter tuning. * Good understanding performance and service quality optimization. * Knowledge of Nokia RAN solutions and NetAct Performance Management. * Experience with KPI analysis, call trace analysis, and drive-test investigations. * Familiarity with Carrier Aggregation, EN-DC, MIMO, and mobility features. * Working knowledge of SQL, scripting, or analytics tools for reporting and troubleshooting. * Understanding of Shared RAN optimization challenges, including multi-operator balancing and resource utilization.
