Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Direct Support Professional, you'll provide compassionate, person-centered support that helps individuals live safely, comfortably, and independently.
Responsibilities include:
- →Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation
- →Encourage independence while supporting each individual's personal goals and preferences
- →Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful home environment
- →Monitor and report changes in residents' health, behaviors, or overall well-being
- →Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and activities
- →Collaborate with healthcare professionals and team members to provide comprehensive support
- →Provide flexible support across programs as part of the float team
Requirements
~1 min read- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Previous experience in medical, caregiving, healthcare, DSP, CNA, PCA, or related fields preferred but not required
- Dependable, compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented
- Ability to adapt to different environments and support the needs of various teams and residents
