Responsibilities

Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC) is the fastest growing region in Amgen. Now we are hiring for a Senior Associate Operations (12-month contract with possibility of extension) for Amgen Hong Kong.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of study-level trackers, dashboards, timelines, and tools (e.g., vendor management, sample tracking, drug supply planning) to ensure accuracy and visibility.
  • Coordinate logistics for quarterly steering committee and investigator meetings, trial events, and site communications.
  • Manage assigned start-up activities, including system setup, access management, and document readiness, ensuring completion to required standards.

  • Use study dashboards and reports to monitor enrolment, data flow, and quality indicators, taking proactive action to address deviations and risks.
  • Lead delivery of assigned risk and quality management activities
  • Track and report study progress, budget management, coordinating with steering committee team and vendors to resolve operational issues and maintain compliance.
  • Deliver assigned components of recruitment and retention strategies to help ensure enrolment targets are achieved.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal study team members, vendors and investigator sites
  • Act as a point of contact for routine study updates, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Identify, prioritize, and escalate risks effectively to support swift, informed decisions

  • Provide administrative support across medical therapeutic areas under both business units: General Medicine (Inflammation, Cardiovascular, Bone, Rare Disease) and HONC (Haematology and Oncology) to ensure tasks completion and compliant to Amgen policies and SOPs 
  • Responsible for procure-to-pay function for the assigned teams 
  • Track expenses for the assigned teams against budget 
  • Assist with project development and planning to ensure efficient execution and organization 
  • Assist medical teams in implementation of activities and key events
  • Local Regulatory Affairs provides country regulatory expertise and execution for the development, registration, and lifecycle management of all Amgen molecules.

Requirements

  • Medical or scientific education or experience from similar positions or industry Pharmaceutical industry experience will be advantageous 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a research assistant or clinical trial assistant or clinical study management experience is preferred
  • Experience in administrative management and logistics planning is preferred
