ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
The Sr. Associate Systems Analyst – Clinical Data Hub will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, documenting functional and technical specifications, and supporting the development, deployment, and maintenance of large scale clinical data and analytics solutions that meet business needs while ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, develop and support data pipelines, automate operational processes, monitor system health, and troubleshooting production issues.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Capture the voice of the customer to define business processes and product needs
Work with Product Managers and customers to define scope and value for new developments
Maintain and ensure the quality of documented user stories/requirements in tools such as Jira
Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions leveraging Databricks, PySpark, and SQL to ingest, transform, and process large-scale datasets
Develop and execute effective product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders
Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and change
Ensure Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done are well-defined
Collaborate and communicate effectively with the product teams, with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Validate that test scenarios meet feature acceptance criteria and customer expectations
Provide ongoing support and maintenance of the data pipelines and applications, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently
Collaborate effectively with global teams across time zones to maintain alignment, resolve issues, and deliver on shared objectives.
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s / Bachelor's degree and 5 to 8 years of Life Science/Biotechnology /Pharmacology/Information Systems experience OR
Functional Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
Experience working in the Clinical domain, including GxP-regulated computer system validation (CSV) environments.
Experience working in Agile software development environments, including Scrum and Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Databricks, AWS, PySpark, Python, and SQL for developing and supporting enterprise data and analytics solutions.
Experience with DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), release management, and production support
Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and technical specifications.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience writing and managing user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria using Agile project management tools such as Jira.
Experience creating and maintaining business and technical documentation in compliance with organizational standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Understanding of biostatistical concepts and analysis methods
Knowledge of Generative AI, Agentic AI, and other emerging technologies, with the ability to evaluate and apply them to business and analytics solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large, complex datasets to derive actionable insights.
Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, metadata management, and data quality best practices.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and Agile environment while managing multiple priorities.
Professional Certifications:
Certified Tester/Agile Tester or similar (preferred)
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification (preferred)
Soft Skills:
Able to work under minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
Team-oriented, with a focus on achieving team goals
Strict attention to detail and process adherence

Shift Information:
This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second or third shift schedule. Candidates must be willing and able to work during evening shifts.
