Amherst College invites applications for the Assistant Coach - Baseball position. The Assistant Coach - Baseball is a full-time, 10-month position. The expected salary range for this job opportunity is: $35,000 to $40,000 annually (will be adjusted for a 10-month position).
The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations. The Assistant Coach - Baseball supports the team's Head Coach in all aspects of the program's operation. This includes student-athlete development, recruiting, team logistics, and compliance. The role requires flexibility to work some nights, weekends, and to travel overnight for away games and tournaments. The Assistant Coach - Baseball takes appropriate actions to support a diverse student body and workforce and participates in the College’s efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment.

- →Bachelor’s degree, or 4-6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- →Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience (collegiate or competitive level preferred).
- →Understanding of the role of athletics in a competitive academic environment.
- →Valid driver’s license and ability to drive college vehicles; must successfully complete the Five College Risk Management driver credentialing program.
- →Willingness and availability to work nights, weekends, and travel overnight as required.
- →Successful completion of required reference and background checks.
- →An acceptable criminal offender records information (CORI) check.
