→Operate C-arm fluoroscopy and/or portable X-ray equipment during surgical procedures (e.g., orthopedic, pain management, spine cases)
→Position patients and equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images per physician direction
→Ensure radiation safety practices (ALARA principles) for patients, staff, and self; monitor and document radiation exposure
→Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment; coordinate service/repairs with vendors
→Verify physician orders and confirm correct patient, procedure, and site (supports Universal Protocol/Time Out)
→Maintain accurate imaging records and ensure compliance with state radiology licensure and facility policies
→Assist with equipment setup/breakdown and OR turnover between cases
→Participate in quality assurance activities, including equipment testing and radiation safety audits
→Adhere to infection control, sterile field, and OSHA/OSHA-related safety standards
→Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to ensure efficient case flow
→Maintain required certifications and continuing education

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Current state license/registration as a Radiologic Technologist (or state-specific equivalent)
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
BLS certification required (ACLS may be preferred depending on case mix)
Prior experience in an OR, surgery center, or interventional setting strongly preferred
Knowledge of radiation safety standards and sterile technique

Ability to stand for extended periods, wear lead aprons (10–15+ lbs) for full case duration
Ability to lift/move equipment and assist with patient positioning
Manual dexterity for equipment operation in sterile environments

Operating room setting with exposure to radiation (mitigated by protective equipment), bodily fluids, and sterile field protocols
PRN scheduling depending on case volume; may require early morning start times
