We’re hiring an Associate Director, Media & Analytics to lead our media team and own how some of our most important clients invest, measure, and grow.

You’ll build the media strategies, run the campaigns, and lead the conversations that help clients make better decisions. You’ll personally manage a portfolio of 6–8 key accounts while developing the team and improving how the department works. Strategy, execution, and leadership are all central to the role.

We’re looking for someone with a strong point of view and the experience to back it up. Someone who can sit across from a marketing leader, understand their business, and build a plan they believe in. Someone who enjoys getting into the accounts, finding opportunities, and turning good thinking into work that performs.

Anchour’s clients and capabilities are growing. We’re investing in a media leader who can help shape what comes next: stronger strategy, more useful analytics, better creative, and a team that keeps getting better.

You’ll report to our VP of Growth and work closely with leadership, account, creative, web, and retention teams. You’ll have real ownership of the work and a meaningful voice in where the practice goes.

Anchour is a creative agency focused on building unforgettable brands and digital experiences that help businesses punch above their weight.

Headquartered in Maine, we partner with SMBs and growing brands across industries like consumer goods, hospitality, financial services, home services, and retail. Our work spans brand strategy, identity design, website design and development, content strategy, and full-service marketing.

We give talented people the trust, support, and ownership to do great work. You’ll work alongside people who care about their craft, care about each other, and want to build something they’re proud of.

Responsibilities

  • →Own media on key accounts. Lead strategy and hands-on execution for 6–8 important client relationships. Build, launch, optimize, and manage campaigns across Google, Meta, and other channels that fit the business. Know where the money is going, how it’s performing, and what needs to happen next.
  • →Build the media plans. Translate business goals into clear investment strategies across the full funnel. Define the audiences, channel mix, budgets, sequencing, and measures of success. Bring clients a recommendation grounded in their business and explain the choices behind it.
  • →Lead the client conversation. Run planning sessions, present recommendations, and guide performance discussions with senior marketing teams and business leaders. Ask good questions, make complex ideas clear, and build trust through sound judgment and consistent follow-through.
  • →Make reporting matter. Build reports and presentations that tell a clear story about the business. Explain what’s working, what’s changing, what we’ve learned, and where we should go next. Keep improving how we communicate results as the work and the audience evolve.
  • →Own measurement. Define what we need to measure and make sure we can trust it. Work directly in GA4, Google Tag Manager, and ad platforms to validate tracking, investigate issues, and connect campaign activity to business outcomes. Handle routine implementation and partner with developers and vendors on more complex work.
  • →Shape the creative that fuels performance. Give creative teams a clear brief and useful feedback. Know which messages, hooks, offers, and formats are working. Plan refreshes, advocate for what the accounts need, and make sure what we learn informs what gets made next.
  • →Develop the team. Manage and mentor our media practitioners. Review work, sharpen their thinking, help solve difficult problems, and support their growth. Set priorities and balance workloads so people know where to focus and have the support to deliver.
  • →Build a better practice. Improve how we plan, launch, test, report, and collaborate. Create processes the team can use, get people working with them, and refine what needs to change. Bring practical ideas for using AI, automation, and our data infrastructure to improve quality and free up time for more valuable work.
  • →Keep the business of media running well. Maintain clear oversight of budgets, pacing, vendor commitments, and billing inputs. Work with account, project management, and finance teams to keep delivery organized and commitments accurate.
  • →Help grow the department. Partner with leadership on pitches, proposals, client growth opportunities, and new capabilities. Bring ideas that strengthen our offering, improve results, and give clients more reasons to build with Anchour.
  • Deep paid media experience. You’ve managed meaningful budgets across multiple accounts and can point to results you personally helped deliver. Your experience includes recent, hands-on work in Google Ads and Meta.
  • Strategic range. You understand how brand and performance work together. You can build a media strategy around a client’s business, adapt it across industries, and make thoughtful decisions about where to invest.
  • Strong client presence. You’re comfortable leading a room, presenting your thinking, and working through difficult questions. Clients trust you because you understand their business and bring useful direction.
  • Analytics fluency. You’re confident in GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, and reporting tools. You can investigate a performance issue, recognize gaps in the data, and explain what the findings mean.
  • Real team leadership. You’ve managed or mentored media practitioners and helped improve their work. You know how to give clear feedback, set expectations, and develop people’s judgment.
  • Creative instincts. You understand the role creative plays in media performance and can translate account insights into stronger briefs, tests, and campaigns.
  • A practical approach to building. You see opportunities to improve how work gets done and follow through on them. You know that a useful process needs to be clear, adopted, and maintained.
  • An active learning habit. You’re testing tools, paying attention to changes in the industry, and using AI thoughtfully in your work. You can explain what has improved your results and what hasn’t earned its place.
  • Experience across financial services, ecommerce, lead generation, CTV, or programmatic media is a plus.
  • You stay close to the work and take pride in the details.
  • You bring recommendations and make decisions within your area of ownership.
  • You communicate early, especially when something needs attention.
  • You make collaboration easier by giving people clear direction and useful context.
  • You’re generous with your knowledge and open to having your thinking challenged.
  • You care about the quality of the work and the people doing it.

You’ll have the chance to make a visible difference across the agency: in the confidence clients have in their plans, the quality of the work we deliver, and the growth of the people you lead.

We have talented teammates, strong client relationships, and a growing set of tools and capabilities. We’re looking for someone who sees the potential in that and wants to help take it further.
