About Andaria
Andaria is a Malta and UK licensed financial institution providing embedded payments, card issuing, and account infrastructure to businesses across Europe. Our clients build on top of our APIs to launch and scale their own financial products — and the quality of that integration experience is one of the most important things we deliver.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Technical Client Integration Specialist to be the technical face of Andaria from the first technical call through to production go-live and beyond. You will guide client engineering teams through our APIs, troubleshoot real integration issues, and own the quality of our developer experience — from the OpenAPI portal to the Postman collections clients use every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead client integrations end-to-end. Run technical kickoff sessions with new clients, understand their use case, and map it to Andaria's APIs. Guide their engineering team through sandbox setup, authentication (OAuth, mTLS), webhook configuration, and the certification path to production.
Troubleshoot at the protocol level. Diagnose integration issues across HTTP, JSON payloads, signature validation, idempotency, and async webhook flows. Reproduce client issues in our sandbox, isolate root causes, and either resolve directly or hand off to engineering with a clean reproduction.
Own the developer experience. Maintain the OpenAPI-based developer portal, Postman collections, code samples, and integration guides. Treat documentation as a product — measure where clients get stuck and fix it at the source.
Validate and certify integrations. Walk clients through pre-production test scripts, validate edge cases (failed payments, reversals, 3DS flows, webhook retries), and sign off integrations against Andaria's go-live criteria.
Support clients post-go-live. Act as escalation point for production integration issues, monitor client API usage and error patterns, and run periodic technical health-checks. Feed recurring issues back to product and engineering.
Skillset and Requirements:
Must-haves
- 2+ years in a technical integration, API support, solutions engineering, or developer-experience role — ideally in fintech, payments, or SaaS.
- Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP (status codes, headers, methods), and authentication patterns including OAuth 2.0 and mTLS.
- Hands-on with developer tooling: Postman, curl, API logs, and reading or writing OpenAPI specifications.
- Comfortable debugging client integrations end-to-end — reading payloads, tracing requests, and isolating root cause across client code, network, and our platform.
- Excellent written and spoken English — you will be writing public-facing documentation and explaining technical concepts to both engineers and business stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience using AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate technical work — writing docs, generating Postman tests, debugging payloads, or prototyping integration helpers. Curiosity about where AI can improve the developer experience we offer clients is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with webhooks, signature verification (HMAC), idempotency, and async/event-driven integration patterns.
- Exposure to the European payments landscape: PSD2, SCA, Open Banking, SEPA.
- Knowledge of the cards industry — issuing, acquiring, card schemes (Visa, Mastercard), 3DS, or PCI-DSS awareness.
- Light scripting ability (Python, JavaScript, or Bash) for reproducing client issues.
- Use of AI assist
- Additional European languages
