What You Will Do as Behavior Technician / RBT:
- You will maintain a knowledge base of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related Developmental Disabilities, working under the supervision of a New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst/Board Certified Behavior Analyst (LBA/BCBA) who can support your learning and development.
- You will help create, implement, and evaluate programmatic development to ensure that plans are tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
- You will work with team members in other departments to promote resolution of behavior-related and treatment implementation concerns.
- You will deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical services with compassion.
- You will provide direct care to individuals in one-on-one or group therapy settings, implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans that yield results you can be proud of.
- You will collect and record data on individual behavior.
- You will get to collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of individuals and family members, educating them on the details and follow-through of individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols so that children can experience consistency across settings and caregivers.
- You will ensure a safe and supportive environment for everyone with whom you connect as part of our Anderson Center community, building trusted relationships with families/caregivers, fellow team members, and most importantly, the children you serve.
- You will clearly communicate progress, objectives, and any concerns with parents and caregivers of the children you serve, as instructed by LBA/BCBA.
- A genuine belief in the potential of the children you serve, and unwavering respect for them.
- Dedication to fostering a sense of self and belonging for all in your orbit.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or a willingness to learn the evidence-based principles of ABA.

In addition, we expect that you:
- Have earned a minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Complete forty (40) hours of training.
- Have experience working with autistic children of varying ages, and knowledge of applied behavior analysis preferred.
- Obtain New York State Educational Department (NYSED) Fingerprint Clearance (required)
- Adhere to departmental and institutional policies, procedures, and practices.
- Complete agency training.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities.
- Fulfill all mandated reporting requirements, ensure compliance with agency policies, and adhere to organizational protocols.

Pay Range: $23.00/Hourly
