As a Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 at Anderson Center for Autism, you'll play an important role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of our campus grounds. Through your work, you'll help create outdoor spaces that support learning, recreation, independence, and overall well-being for the individuals we serve.
Whether maintaining campus landscapes, responding to maintenance needs, supporting seasonal operations, or helping ensure a safe environment for staff and program participants, you will be part of a team that keeps our campus operating at its absolute best. What You Will Do as a Facilities Maintenance Technician 2
- You will help maintain the safety, appearance, and overall functionality of Anderson Center for Autism's campus grounds and outdoor environments.
- You will perform groundskeeping and outdoor maintenance activities that support a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment for individuals, staff, families, and visitors.
- You will complete assigned work orders efficiently and professionally while following established Operations Department procedures.
- You will operate tools, equipment, and maintenance resources safely and effectively to complete assigned projects.
- You will maintain outdoor spaces, walkways, common areas, and campus properties to promote safety and accessibility.
- You will assist with seasonal grounds activities such as landscaping, debris removal, snow and ice management, storm cleanup, and related campus improvement projects.
- You will identify potential hazards throughout the campus and take prompt corrective action or communicate concerns to supervisors as needed.
- You will collaborate with Quality Assurance and Operations team members to help address safety concerns and maintain regulatory compliance.
- You will perform preventive maintenance activities designed to minimize equipment failures and preserve campus infrastructure.
- You will support the maintenance and monitoring of water, wastewater, irrigation, and related campus systems as assigned.
- You will maintain accurate daily logs, documentation, and records associated with completed maintenance activities.
- You will work collaboratively with fellow team members to achieve departmental goals and complete projects efficiently.
- You will use sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills to resolve maintenance concerns and seek guidance when additional expertise is needed.
- You will assist in maintaining equipment, tools, and workspaces in a safe, organized condition.
- You will represent the Operations Department professionally through your communication, appearance, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.
- You will play an important role in helping ensure that individuals receiving services at Anderson enjoy a campus environment that supports comfort, safety, recreation, and quality of life.

The Qualifications We Seek:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, campus maintenance, property maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction support, or a related field preferred.
- Experience operating lawn equipment, power tools, tractors, snow removal equipment, or related maintenance equipment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and general repair techniques preferred.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move equipment and materials required to perform maintenance activities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license preferred and ability to satisfy agency driving requirements.

- Obtain and subsequently maintain qualifications in all health, safety, and crisis intervention procedures required by the agency.
- Complete all required agency training programs.
- Follow all Operations Department procedures and work order processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and departmental records.

- Comply with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
- Present yourself in a professional manner, including maintaining appropriate grooming standards and designated work attire.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.50 Hourly; based on experience
