Junior Software Developer

Andromeda Systems Incorporated (ASI) is hiring an entry-level software developer to join our team in developing our web-based application using the latest .Net, Angular, and SQL technologies. This position is located in Jacksonville, FL.

• →Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited U.S. institution
• →0–2 years of professional software development experience
• →Working knowledge of C# and the .NET framework and .NET Core
• →Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles
• →Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including writing SQL queries and understanding relational database concepts
• →Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software design fundamentals
• →Understanding of RESTful APIs and client/server application architecture
• →Basic understanding of debugging, testing, and troubleshooting software applications
• →Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• →Effective verbal and written communication skills
• →Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum development environment

• Internship, co-op, academic, or personal project experience using Angular, C#, or SQL Server
• Familiarity with Entity Framework or Entity Framework Core
• Exposure to Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other CI/CD tools
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Jasmine, or Karma)
• Understanding of dependency injection and modern software architecture patterns
• Experience in consuming or developing REST APIs
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, or similar) to improve productivity in coding, debugging, testing, and documentation while validating AI-generated output for accuracy, security, and maintainability

• Security clearance not required at the time of hire. Candidate must be capable of obtaining a secret security clearance if required for future project assignments

• $30.00-$35.00 per hour / $62,400-$72,800 per year
