Private markets are the new public markets. The most important companies of this era are private, and almost no one can own them. What's missing is the financial system public markets spent a century building: exchanges, custodians, brokers, and ways for ordinary people to buy in. Private markets, now $28T, never had the equivalent. AngelList is building it.

The last decade of structural innovation in venture happened here: syndicates, SPVs at scale, Rolling Funds, scout programs. Today we have $200B+ in assets and 30,000+ startups funded on our platform. The rest of private markets is next. Funds is the software and services behind private funds, Nova is the banking network, Meridian is the wealth platform for accredited investors, and USVC is the brand behind a registered fund that lets anyone invest in venture.

Working here means an unusual amount of agency on a problem that matters. Titles are closer to suggestions, and there are about 200 of us building what private markets never had. Come build it with us.

About the Role:

Our Funds team is focused on two goals: (1) driving invested capital volume by delivering products for larger, more complex customers, and (2) raising the quality bar for our existing full-service fund management platform.

As a Product Designer on this team, you’ll play a central role in rearchitecting our existing software into deeply configurable accounting, intelligence, and investor management systems that can scale with institutional needs. You’ll also help us apply AI agents to transform service-heavy back office workflows into software and build entirely new categories of products for fund managers.

You’ll enjoy this role if you thrive in ambiguity, love designing system-level solutions, and are motivated by building private markets infrastructure that drives capital to entrepreneurs building our future.

Design the future of our Funds products, evolving our existing standardized software into deeply configurable accounting, intelligence, and investor management systems that scale to institutional needs

Explore creative applications of AI agents to transform back office services into composable software and build new categories of products for fund managers

Deliver high-quality interaction and visual design, crafting elegant, intuitive experiences across complex financial systems

Talk regularly with customers, using research and insights to clarify problems and drive great design solutions

Have 7+ years of experience as a product designer, ideally with exposure to complex financial or enterprise systems

See the rebuild of core financial systems as an exciting design challenge, rethinking interfaces for both growth and quality

Want to design radically new experiences that take advantage of AI agents, transforming back office workflows and enabling new behaviors for fund managers

Are a systems thinker with strong interaction and visual design skills, and hold a high bar for craft and quality

AngelList has offices in a few cities, New York City and San Francisco. We have a hybrid in-office model: teammates come in at least 2 days per week (Tuesdays and either Wednesday or Thursday).

Compensation:
The compensation for this role consists of a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity package. The base salary for this role is $270,000+ annually but actual will vary based on a number of factors including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Additional details about our Total Rewards package will be provided during the recruitment process.
