Exhaustion, sleep deprivation, hunger, daunting caseload, divided attention among hospitalized and incoming cases; these are just some of the workload-associated stressors that ER veterinarians routinely experience. It is for the love of Emergency Medicine that we each continue to expose ourselves to the physical and mental challenges of this profession.  The owners of Animal ER Care (AERC) are striving to change the current experience of ER medicine to create a rewarding & sustainable environment.

We continually evaluate caseload trends as we strive to achieve a work / life harmony for our entire team. Our doctors are supported with a high-level medical team: we have separate technicians for our ICU and treatment areas, and a dedicated triage technician whose primary role is prioritization of incoming cases and client education/liaison. If you're interested in working for an ER practice that places a priority on the health and balance of their team and fosters a positive work culture - consider joining Animal ER Care in Colorado Springs, CO.

We're an independently, female-owned, multi-location emergency practice on the Front Range of Colorado. Our flagship location is a VECCS II Certified (one of only two in Colorado!), 24/7 emergency practice, within a larger specialty hospital. We have opened a 2nd location to meet the high demand in our growing community. Both locations are AAHA-accredited,

Animal ER Care strives to provide the highest quality veterinary emergency and critical care services for companion animals; our fast paced and high caseload environment is balanced with kindness, compassion, and integrity. We are seeking additional Associate Veterinarians for our growing caseload. Ideal candidates will be internship-trained, team-focused, and passionate about emergency medicine. We wll consider exceptional candidates that are not internship trained. These positions are full-time, yet we will consider the right part-time candidate. Successful candidates must be willing to work an average of 3 shifts per week, with a mix of swings and overnighs. We strive to provide balance for our entire team and attempt to accommodate all reasonable schedule requests, including blocks of time off for travel.
