Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Medical Surgical Registered Nurses to support the Spinal Cord Injury Unit at the Clement J Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 5000 W National Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53295. Multiple shift schedules are available. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Competitive full-time and PRN pay packages are available to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

The Spinal Cord Injury Unit services shall be provided in accordance with the policies of the VA healthcare system where assigned. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver safe care to assigned spinal cord injured patients
  • Document thorough skin assessments and complex wound dressing changes
  • Poised and articulated in communicating with people of varied educational levels and varied ethnic backgrounds
  • Works cooperatively as a member of a team in all assignments
  • Participates in unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN)
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Two years of Med Surg experience. Ventilator experience preferred
  • No sponsorship available 
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
