Mentor - Data & Business Analytics

AperioHub is an experiential learning & business consultancy platform running structured, project-based programs for university students across 50+ universities in the US, UK, and globally. Our July 2026 cohort drew 750+ applications. Participants are competitively selected, motivated, and career-focused.

This is not a corporate hiring program. It is a practitioner-led learning platform where domain experts run real-world business scenarios for a high-quality student cohort — backed by AperioHub's operational infrastructure, recruitment reach, and quality standards established across six cohorts.

You will design and lead a Data & Business Analytics project for a small cohort of university students over a four-week engagement. AperioHub handles all recruitment, onboarding, platform setup, and program oversight. You bring the domain expertise and the project idea.

Think of it as running your own learning initiative — without building the platform or finding the participants yourself.

This is a freelance, project-based engagement. It is not employment. Mentors operate as independent contributors under AperioHub's program framework. You are responsible for understanding applicable freelance income or work authorisation regulations in your country of residence.

• →Design one real-world or practitioner-inspired project brief grounded in your professional experience — templates and guidance provided
• →Lead at least one structured 60-minute workshop for your cohort at the start of the program
• →Conduct a short weekly check-in call — schedulable on weekends or evenings to fit your routine and align with cohort participant location mix
• →Be available on Slack or a similar async channel for participant questions between sessions
• →Attend the final presentation session in Week 4 where participants present their project output
• →Follow AperioHub's quality and engagement standards throughout; Manmohan Mall (Founder, AperioHub — 20+ years across Citibank, Standard Chartered, Macquarie, and IIM Ahmedabad MBA) serves as lead mentor and program supervisor across all tracks
  

Mentors earn on a per-participant basis. With a cohort of 8–10 participants, this represents $500 or more — for a time commitment manageable across weekends and evenings over one month. Full terms are set out in a simple engagement agreement signed before the cohort begins.

We are recruiting mentors whose professional experience sits at the intersection of data and business decision-making — analysts, strategists, and practitioners who have used data to solve real commercial, financial, operational, or consumer problems.

Candidates with exposure to data science, machine learning, or AI methods applied within a business context are particularly encouraged to apply.

• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience working with data in a business context
• Currently employed in industry, or on a deliberate career break — your knowledge should be current and grounded in real practice
• Comfortable working with university students from diverse academic and geographic backgrounds — patience and genuine interest in developing early-career talent matter here
• Some prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or coaching is a plus — not a requirement if you can communicate complex ideas clearly
• Able to commit fully to the four-week program once confirmed — partial completion is not an option
• Based anywhere; fully remote given our participants are time zone spread but skewed towards US based learners
