We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions
About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for bright Hardware Integration Engineers interested in designing and building next-generation compute and sensor hardware for autonomous and AI-driven vehicles. Our hardware engineers work across the full hardware lifecycle — from schematic design and PCB layout to bring-up, validation, and production support — collaborating closely with software, firmware, and mechanical teams to ship reliable systems into production vehicle programs.
Design and review schematics and PCB layouts for compute, sensor, and interface hardware
Support hardware bring-up and debug, including board-level and component-level troubleshooting
Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware functionality, performance, and reliability
Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware with embedded systems and validate end-to-end functionality
Work with vendors and contract manufacturers to support prototyping, DFM/DFT reviews, and production ramp
Contribute to hardware documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test reports
BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree
Strong fundamentals in circuit design, digital/analog electronics, and PCB layout graduating by December 2026
Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) for hardware debug and validation
Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and hardware specifications
Nice to Have

Familiarity with communication protocols relevant to vehicle systems (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C)
Exposure to compliance/EMC testing or DFM/DFT processes
Prior internship or project experience with automotive, robotics, or embedded hardware
