Provides leadership to managers and professional staff. Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple sites or related teams. Develops business unit, department or sub-function plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities. Decisions are guided by resource availability and segment/functional objectives. Key Responsibilities: Manages the quality/ reliability program and related business processes. Includes the definition, specification, and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for developing quality/ reliability programs. Process Governance: Lead global or site-specific deviation management, root-cause analysis (e.g., 8D, CAPA), and quality event reduction programs to minimize wafer scrap and excursions. Quality Management Systems (QMS): Establish, maintain, and audit QMS compliance against global manufacturing standards like ISO, IATF, and internal corporate objectives. Data & Statistical Control: Drive data-driven problem-solving using Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and yield-improvement tools. Supplier & Customer Quality: Oversee incoming raw material standards with procurement teams and act as the technical escalation point for customer quality expectations and audits Key member of PCRB (process change review board) and chair documentation (OI, SOP, OCAP) meeting Manages the application of quality/ reliability activities in administrative areas with focus on consulting with operating units to ensure continuous improvement. Provides inputs and recommendations for the adoption of good quality practices in engineering and manufacturing. Provides leadership and support to subordinates in meeting quality assurance system requirements Selects, trains, evaluates and manages employees to ensure the efficient operations of the function. Functional Knowledge * Front-end Semiconductor Fab working knowledge and experience. * Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within own job family and knowledge of other related job families Business Expertise * Applies in-depth understanding of how own discipline integrates within the segment/function. Leadership * Manages multiple related teams, sets organizational priorities and allocates resources. Problem Solving * Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational and organizational problems. Impact * Impacts the business results of a team or area by supporting and funding of projects, products, services and/or technologies and developing policies and plans. * Guided by business unit, department or sub-functional business plans. Interpersonal Skills * Influences others internally and externally, including senior management.
