Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Run the computerized parts catalog and keep a live inventory of stock and special-order parts
- →Dispense parts to the service techs and keep them working
- →Find the best sources for replacement parts and assemblies, and purchase standard items
- →Receive and inspect incoming shipments for the right quantity and quality
- →Process invoices for payment and keep clean, accurate records
- →Get quotes on major purchases and secure approval for non-routine buys
- →Stay current on pricing, parts changes, and technical service bulletins by working closely with sales and shop staff
- Sharp organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- A basic understanding of automotive/diesel parts and mechanical systems
- Solid communication — verbal and written
- Comfort with computers, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office (or the ability to learn fast)
- Basic math skills for invoicing and inventory
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior parts department experience with diesel engines preferred
- Warehouse experience with high productivity and organization is a plus
