Nice to Have

~1 min read

Road service takes a different level of independence, versatility, and problem-solving.

We believe that should come with the opportunity to earn accordingly.

Your base hourly rate gives you a strong foundation.

Your commission creates additional earning opportunity.

And technicians who bring the skill, productivity, and drive have the potential to build serious annual earnings.

No lift.

No parts room down the hall.

No perfectly controlled environment.

Road service means bringing the shop to the problem.

You’ll arrive on scene, assess the situation, run diagnostics, determine what failed, source what you need, make the repair when possible, and get the customer moving again.

It takes confidence, judgment, resourcefulness, and the ability to think on your feet.

Road service isn’t the place for guessing.

The customer may tell you:

“It just shut off.”

That’s where your job starts.

You inspect.

You test.

You scan.

You troubleshoot.

You eliminate possibilities.

We need technicians who understand that a diagnostic trouble code isn’t always the answer.

Strong Road Service Technicians know how to combine:

💻 Diagnostic Software

Electrical Testing

⚙️ Mechanical Knowledge

🔧 Hands-On Experience

🧠 Critical Thinking

…to get from “It’s broken” to “It’s fixed.”

Road Service Technicians spend plenty of time working independently in the field.

But great road service requires constant teamwork behind the scenes.

Where are you?

What did you find?

How long will the repair take?

What failed?

What do you need?

Where can we get it?

Is there a safety issue?

Is the service truck ready?

Does something need immediate attention?

What happened?

Can it be repaired?

What happens next?

The best technicians don’t disappear once they leave the shop.

In a shop, you control the environment.

On the road?

Heat.

Cold.

Rain.

Darkness.

Traffic.

Tight spaces.

Impatient customers.

Unexpected problems.

And equipment that usually chooses the worst possible time to break down.

You still need to stay calm.

Work safely.

Diagnose accurately.

Communicate clearly.

And make the repair.

Commercial trucks don’t only break down Monday through Friday.

This position requires:

📅 Weekend availability

📞 On-call availability

Schedule flexibility based on road-service demand

If you need every workday to be perfectly predictable, this probably isn’t the right seat.

🧠 Challenging Diagnostics & Repairs

🚀 Opportunity to Grow Your Skills & Career

You pull up.

Open the service truck.

Grab your tools.

Run the diagnostics.

Find the failure.

Make the repair.

Check your work.

Get them moving.

That’s Road Service.

It takes technical ability.

It takes independence.

It takes communication.

It takes work ethic.

And it takes someone who actually enjoys solving problems when the pressure is on.
