The Compliance Analyst will report directly to Vice President, Compliance. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for providing regulatory and compliance support for the consumer product business units which include Lenders, Travel & Accident & Health. The position requires assisting with the preparation and submission of form and rate filings for our consumer products, and certain additional statutory filings as needed. They will assist the compliance team with researching, analyzing, and evaluating state and federal regulations to determine the impact on Arch’s products, policies, procedures, standards, and administration. They will also have shared responsibility for onboarding and auditing partners & programs.

Responsibilities

1. State Filings

  • Assist Compliance with creation of form state variation documents for each product based on the scope of the project.

  • Oversee and file with state insurance regulators forms, rates and rules utilizing the SERFF software application.

  • Help coordinate process for responding to state objections. Oversee needs for extensions, resubmissions, withdrawals with considerations of individual states’ restrictions and deadlines.

  • Coordinate and document all activities surrounding the filing, approval, disapproval of all filings with state insurance departments.

  • Keep track of filing status and assist compliance with drafting implementation tools for each of the filed products.

2.  Regulatory Compliance & On-boarding New Programs

  • Research, analyze, evaluate, and publish regarding new laws and regulations affecting consumer products and business units’ policies, and procedures.

  • Assist Compliance staff to implement these rules with the applicable business units.

  • Assist with on-boarding implementation and audits for new programs and partners.

  • Excellent inter-personal relationship skills and the ability to work effectively across a large, multi-dimensional organization.

  • Intermediate computer skills, and knowledge of and ability to use standard industry programs and websites.

  • Working knowledge of insurance principles procedures and best practices, state insurance regulation and filing requirements are a plus.

  • Ability to interpret relevant industry trends and information within the industry and react in alignment with company strategic objectives.

  • 1+ years of experience in insurance compliance, regulatory / state filings.

  • Knowledge of Travel or Accident & Health or Service Warranty & Lender Placed Insurance products preferred but not required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Availability for some travel between the home office and the business unit’s office.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$86,300 - $107,000/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
