The principal challenge of this position is to balance prudent credit risk management with business growth by performing credit assessments, supporting collection activities, account reconciliation and providing commercially sound recommendations to business stakeholders. The Credit Analyst works in a global environment and collaborates closely with Business Unit Finance, Commercial teams, Sales, Customer Service, and Credit Management to protect company assets while enabling profitable sales growth.
The role combines credit risk analysis, portfolio management, collection activities, customer negotiations, and business partnership responsibilities. You will independently manage an assigned portfolio of customers, conduct financial reviews, recommend and maintain appropriate credit limits within delegated authority, and support continuous process improvement initiatives across the organization.
You will act on behalf of Arconic entities, in Europe and North America, operate in a Global Environment under a comprehensive set of Arconic and Global Credit Policies and Procedures and within delegated credit authority.
Working time: afternoon shift (1:30 pm – 10 pm)
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Perform financial analysis and credit reviews for new and existing customers of low to medium complexity.
- Gather, review and maintain financial and business information from internal and external sources.
- Assess customer payment behavior, financial strength, industry risks and business outlook.
- Recommend appropriate credit limits, payment terms and risk mitigation measures within delegated authority.
- Maintain customer records and ensure credit documentation is complete, accurate and up to date.
- Monitor customer exposure and identify emerging credit risks requiring escalation.
- Execute periodic credit reviews and support bulk credit review activities.
- Manage assigned accounts receivable portfolio and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Monitor overdue balances and proactively contact customers to resolve payment issues. Archive communications in the ERP system.
- Coordinate account reconciliation activities and support dispute resolution processes.
- Release customer orders when appropriate and consistent with approved credit policies.
- Ensure customer exposure remains within approved credit limits and company risk guidelines.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and payment performance improvement plans with customers. Negotiating payment agreements, conditions, timeframe, and interest, in pre-agreement with the BU Coordinators, Director of Credit
- Work with customers to resolve overdue balances, disputes and account concerns.
- Support negotiation of security instruments and risk mitigation solutions where appropriate.
- Escalate high-risk or complex situations to Credit Management with supporting recommendations.
- Develop strong working relationships with Business Unit Finance, Commercial teams, Customer Service, Sales representatives and other internal stakeholders.
- Provide risk assessments and recommendations that support informed commercial decisions.
- Participate in discussions regarding customer strategy, account development and risk management.
- Communicate credit risks, collection concerns and customer developments to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Support BU cash flow and working capital objectives through effective portfolio management.
- Participate in department and cross-functional projects focused on process improvement, automation and digital transformation.
- Contribute to standardization, reporting enhancements and operational excellence initiatives.
- Support testing, implementation and continuous improvement of credit and collection tools and processes.
- Share best practices and contribute to team knowledge development.
Requirements

- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Credit, Collections, Accounts Receivable, Risk Analysis or Finance functions.
- Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment is preferred.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Understanding of financial statements and financial analysis.
- Understanding of credit risk assessment principles.
- Understanding of accounts receivable and collection processes.
- Knowledge of payment methods, documentary credit fundamentals and risk mitigation tools.
- Understanding of working capital and cash flow drivers.
- Experience using ERP and reporting systems (Oracle, Power BI or similar tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to evaluate financial and commercial information and make sound recommendations.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer focus while maintaining appropriate risk discipline.
