Senior Operations Leader - Hot Mill

The Senior Operations Leader is accountable for providing leadership and direction to Production Teams in order to meet business requirements for the efficient production of metal in a continuous improvement environment. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Senior Operations Leader is responsible to ensure a safe and productive environment. 

• →Lead the team in safely producing the highest quality product
• →Act as backup for the Production Superintendent
• →Coaches employees for effectiveness, efficiency, performance, safety practices, and adherence to procedures; corrects behaviors and actions as needed
• →Ensure team performance goals are aligned to department and plant business objectives and communicated to the team
• →Actively participate on a variety of teams and in meetings focused on improvements to the Hot Mill department.
• →Comply with all employment laws and Arconic Equal Opportunity Policies in all hiring, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions
• →Provides adequate direction for team; maintaining clearly stated work assignments and providing assistance when needed
• →Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees 
• →Ensure that EHS incidents and quality issues are appropriately investigated and corrective actions implemented on a timely basis

• 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment 
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
• 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment;
• 7+ years of production experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated success in coaching and developing high performance teams;
• Ability to translate corporate and plant business objectives into meaningful and achievable business goals for the department;
• Experience with AS400 and Oracle;
• Operational knowledge regarding process, equipment capability, practices, systems;
• Ability to handle multiple projects/assignments concurrently and be results oriented;
• Demonstrated ability to use a computer, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point);
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
