Primary Responsibilities

· Work with Business groups to gather and document business needs and processes

· Develop enterprise business automation solutions using the toolset of the assigned projects

· Work with business teams to perform application testing of configurations, migrations, and customizations

· Operate with Arconic IS standards and conventions and applicable Arconic BU/RU IT Standards

· Work across a global IT team to share information and best practices

Key Objectives

· Collaborate with IT Applications teams learn internal development processes and standards

· Learn and apply the applicable toolsets to solve real world business problems

· Add value to the company through key IT project and task deliverables

· Bring a new perspective and new ideas to IT efforts and processes

· Communicate professionally and effectively with a wide variety of people, via face to face, over the phone, via email, via Microsoft Teams and in writing

Basic Qualifications

Credits toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, from an accredited institution
Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
Coursework or experience with at least one programming language, preferably Java, C#, Visual Basic, JavaScript, or a similar language.
Basic knowledge of web application development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
· Must have an expected graduation date in Fall 2027, Spring/Summer of 2028, or, Spring/Summer of 2029

· Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater

· Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

· This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with or interest in learning Java and React.js for modern web application development.
Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL, including writing basic queries and working with tables and data.
Familiarity with source control, preferably Git.
Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Interest in learning CI/CD concepts, automated builds, testing, and application deployment pipelines.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn existing applications and technologies.
Ability to work collaboratively with developers and other technical team members.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
