As the Director, Costing will lead the strategic direction of Arc’teryx costing operations, focusing on the development and management of cost structures for raw materials through finished goods for Arc’teryx mainline, business units, and innovation. You will help shape our costing strategy, establishing our costing baseline and intelligence, influencing our organization as we grow and scale. You will be responsible for analyzing cost drivers, implementing costing strategies, and ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining Arc’teryx’s high standards of quality. This role involves collaborating closely with Design, Development, Finance, and within your Global Supply team (Raw Materials, Sourcing, Manufacturing) to develop accurate cost estimates and optimize cost structures across the product portfolio.
You will build and lead a high-performing costing team, establishing the roles, processes, and capabilities required to support scalable supply chain operations. Through strong cross-functional partnerships, you will enable the team to deliver accurate, actionable costing insights that drive informed decision-making across our product portfolios. Under your leadership, costing will evolve into a strategic capability, empowering teams across Arc’teryx to make smarter, faster decisions that support innovation, performance, and growth.
This role is based out of our Hong Kong Sourcing office, and candidates must be eligible to work in Hong Kong. Candidates must be able be able to travel to Canada and our regions from time to time.
Our Costing team is part of our Global Supply team. As part of the Global Supply team, you will be embedded within a collaborative, and integrated group spanning spans from raw materials and finished goods sourcing, quality and compliance, and manufacturing, and is united by a shared commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- You have 10+ years of experience in costing, finance, or supply chain leadership roles, with a focus on cost analysis and cost management, and you have strong capability in cost accounting software and financial analysis tools.
- You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives.
- You have a proven record of developing and implementing strategies and hold knowledge to apply change-management best practices.
- You have proven experience building a team and leading them through a full operating lifecycle, with demonstrated success.
- You are driven to improve business processes and are skilled at implementing new ways of working to support teams in achieving their goals and metrics.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of driving cost efficiency.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across global teams, and you embed accountability through clear, above-the-line leadership and ways of working.
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity, and you effectively balance autonomy and collaboration.
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.
