PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for LP transfer requests across Ares-managed funds.
  • Act as the central point of contact for transferring investors, transferees, fund administrators, legal counsel, tax, fund accounting, and internal stakeholders.
  • Receive, review, and log incoming transfer requests.
  • Maintain transfer request trackers and workflow dashboards, ensuring accurate status reporting and timely follow-up.
  • Coordinate the collection and review of required transfer documentation and supporting materials.
  • Source, prepare, and distribute standard transfer documentation and ancillary forms.
  • Monitor transaction progress and proactively manage outstanding action items to facilitate timely completion.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end transfer process from initiation through execution and recording.
  • Liaise with internal and external legal counsel regarding transfer documentation, comments, and negotiated changes.
  • Coordinate AML/KYC onboarding requirements with Compliance and third-party service providers.
  • Facilitate delivery of completed transfer documentation to fund administrators and other stakeholders for processing and record updates.
  • Escalate complex or non-standard transfer requests to appropriate stakeholders for review and approval.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance policies, procedures, workflows, and operating manuals relating to LP transfer activity.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline transfer processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records and audit trails supporting transfer activity.
  • Produce regular management reporting on transfer activity, including active, completed, pending, and cancelled transfers.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and service levels for transfer processing.
  • Support implementation of workflow tools, automation initiatives, and reporting solutions.
  • Build effective working relationships with Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Fund Administration, and external service providers.
  • Provide timely and professional communication to investors and counterparties throughout the transfer process.
  • Support internal stakeholders with information requests and status updates.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives relating to fund operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Law, or a related discipline.

Experience Required

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience within private equity, private credit, fund administration, investor services, transfer agency, fund operations, legal operations, or financial services.
  • Experience supporting investor onboarding, subscription processing, LP transfers, fund administration, or related operational activities.
  • Understanding of private fund structures, partnership agreements, and investor lifecycle events.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience maintaining operational trackers, workflow management tools, and management reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with CRM, investor servicing, fund administration, or workflow management platforms preferred.
  • Prior experience within alternative asset management, private markets, or fund administration strongly preferred.
