We are seeking an ambitious tax professional to join our APAC tax team based in Singapore. This role will support the firm’s APAC-focused funds, with a responsibility balance between on APAC tax advisory/structuring and related tax compliance.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and a collaborative approach to managing tax risks and delivering strategic tax solutions across a diverse portfolio of investment vehicles.
Responsibilities

Provide tax structuring advice for fund launches, investments, realizations, and ongoing operations
- →
Advise on cross-border tax issues including withholding tax, tax treaty availability, permanent establishment risks, and indirect transfer tax implications
- →
Collaborate with legal, finance, and investment teams to assess tax impacts of transactions and business initiatives
- →
Contribute to global and regional tax planning initiatives to enhance tax efficiency and manage risk (e.g. transfer pricing)

Assist with providing internal training to boost tax awareness amongst investment professionals and other support teams
Tax Compliance

Manage annual tax compliance processes for Singapore tax-resident entities and other related APAC jurisdictions (where relevant), serving as a bridge between internal teams (e.g. Fund Accounting) and external tax advisors

Oversee preparation and review of tax filings including corporate income tax and fund-level reporting

Identify efficiencies in the annual tax compliance process and work to implement enhancements to the process

Maintain robust internal tax compliance controls and documentation to mitigate future tax risks

Assist in managing tax audits and disputes, including preparation of supporting documentation, engagement with tax authorities, and coordination with external advisors
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience, ideally within asset management, Big 4, or a multinational financial institution
Professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, CTA) preferred
Strong understanding of Singapore and international tax principles, particularly in relation to fund structures and cross-border mergers and acquisitions
Experience with tax compliance and advisory in a multi-jurisdiction context
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
