Ares Alternative Credit focuses on asset-based finance (ABF) and tactical asset investing opportunities beyond traditional markets, such as corporate debt, real estate and private equity. This strategy seeks opportunities in large, diversified portfolios, including specialty finance, lender finance, equipment leasing, structured products, net lease, cash-flow streams (e.g., royalties, licensing, management fees) and other asset-focused investments. As of March 31, 2026 (and inclusive of Q2 capital raises), Ares Alternative Credit managed approximately $57.3 billion in assets,  Ares is a co-founder of the Promote Giving initiative (www.promotegiving.org) and at least 5-10% of the promote (carried interest and incentive fee) profits of Alternative Credit's flagship Pathfinder family of funds have been pledged to be donated to global health and education charitable organizations.

Inspired by the Alternative Credit team’s Pathfinder family of funds, in October 2025, Ares and eight managers launched Promote Giving, a new collective of funds advancing a transformative model for philanthropy within the investment industry. Promote Giving signatories pledge to donate the equivalent of at least 5% of their “promote” (carried interest and incentive fee) profits to charities focused on healthcare, education or human well-being.

The Senior Associate/Vice President should be comfortable building partnerships across investment firms, non-profits, and other stakeholders as Promote Giving continues to grow, while also fostering community and driving communications across multiple platforms. The role will also involve engaging with charitable organizations as potential partners and helping to establish a structured, process-oriented approach to sourcing, evaluating, and managing these relationships.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable navigating a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial setting. They should excel at relationship‑building, cross‑functional coordination, and communicating across multiple platforms to foster a strong culture of giving within the Ares community.
