About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a team that maintains and evolves mission-critical integration services. The stack is Java + Spring Boot, with REST integrations to third-party APIs, with a focus on both new features and the quality and maintainability of the system in production.

Responsibilities

→Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java (17) / Spring Boot.
→Build and maintain integrations with third-party REST APIs, including model mapping, contract versioning, and deserialization.
→Write unit and integration tests and maintain solid test coverage.
→Work on error handling, structured logging, and observability.
→Participate in code reviews and propose architecture and quality improvements.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs.
Experience integrating third-party services.
Testing discipline: JUnit, integration tests, CI management.
Proficiency with Gradle (or Maven), Git, and working in large codebases.
Professional English, spoken and written (distributed team, async communication).

Nice to Have
