About the Role
~1 min read- The focus of this position is to work towards a safe and healthy environment for assigned families where their primary needs are met, with the ultimate goal of independent living. All actions taken in this role are geared towards the best interest of the family by strengthening the family unit, through providing needed life skills and resources - all with a Christ centered focus. The Resource Manger is responsible for client families from initial contact to discharge from services.
Responsibilities

- →Provide family services from the time a family applies through their final day of services as a family with Desired Haven, including:

- →Screening and Intake Process according to policy. 24 hour business day turnaround for client contact.
- →Assesment of applicant families to assist with plan of care requirements and alignment with agency mission.
- →Facilitating and participating in Plan of Care and establish “Family” Budget along with budget implementation. This is to include all necessary interaction and documentation in providing Life Skills Development, with instruction for and model lifeskills in accordance along with Plan of Care. Documentation within 24 hours of service as well as all incident reports.
- →Plan and calendar 2 – 3 hours per week face to face time for each family for purpose of resourcing, support, and Life Skills Training.
- →Maintain client files for compliance for all family files in the electronic record system. This includes:

- →Intake, Plan of Care progress, Budget progress, Collection of Program Fees, All documents, Room Checks, Chore Assigments and any on-going paperwork.
- →Timely completion of all case activity according to policy due dates.
- →24 business hour turnaround for client contact, documentation, and incident reports.
- →Work peer caseloads during absences, vacation, or vacancies as needed. Resource Manager works on a team with all other positions of the Desired Haven team.
- →Participate in supervision with your direct supervisor as scheduled and provide necessary case details as requested.
- →Supervise Resident Assistant, Tutors, and Advocate Coordinator.
- →Assist in developing and strengthening families through teaching life skills and providing resources as necessary.
- →Maintaining of the Agency Home:
- →
- →General Maintenance: ex. cleaning, performing or scheduling necessary repairs in a timely manner, ordering and changing filters, lights, etc.
- →Maintain scheduled inspections and repairs of fire alarms, extinguishers, exit lights and suppression system.
- →Drills: Fire, earthquake & tornado
- →Stock supplies, organize and maintain supply room as necessary
- →Managing any US mail: collecting and dispersing
- →Managing the agency home budget
- →Coordination of volunteer opportunities and volunteers, which may require weekends or nights.
- →Donation acceptance, paperwork pertaining to donations
- →Provide excellent communication to all members of the team both internal and external as appropriate. Respond to email, voicemail, Microsoft Teams, and communication within a reasonable timeframe.
- →Participate in public relation activities by public speaking and written articles on behalf of agency to church groups, civic organizations, convention, meetings professional groups, etc.
The Resource Manager position is expected to provide 40 hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed. Any overtime must be approved by your supervisor before working past 40 hours.
