DESCRIPTION
Ashcroft Inc., a global leader in pressure and temperature instrumentation, is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our Stratford manufacturing facility. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability and safety of our production equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a strong commitment to preventive maintenance and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on industrial machinery and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, conveyors, and production lines.
- Inspect, repair, and replace hydraulic, air, and gas lines, including valves, regulators, and fittings.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule and document all work performed.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Ashcroft’s safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
- Any and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or GED required in addition to post high school technical certification, vocational training in industrial maintenance and or professional trade license.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
- Proven experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and gas actuated systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or on-call shifts.
