The Assistant Accountant will support the APAC & ME FP&A team in regional consolidation, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build a career in FP&A, providing exposure to regional finance operations, business performance analysis, and financial planning processes across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support the consolidation of monthly results, budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans across APAC & ME markets.
- →Prepare regional management reports, dashboards, and performance analyses for management review.
- →Perform data validation and reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- →Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, including coordination with country finance teams.
- →Develop and maintain reporting templates, financial models, and analytical tools to improve reporting efficiency.
- →Support process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and ad hoc FP&A projects while building regional FP&A expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business disciplines
- Qualified member of recognized professional accounting body
Requirements
~1 min read- 0–2 years of relevant experience in finance, business analysis, or FP&A.
- Prior internship experience in finance or accounting is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with an interest in financial planning and business performance analysis.
- Comfortable working with large volumes of data and reporting information.
- Eager to learn, proactive, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate work.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different countries and functions.
- Minimal
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP, HFM, FCCS, Hyperion, Power BI, or similar reporting tools would be an advantage.
- Strong aptitude for systems and financial reporting tools.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Able to read, write and speak in Mandarin is an advantage due to exposure to China market
- Immediate availability or short notice period is an advantage.
- This is a 1 year contract.
