The Assistant Manager of Operations, Quality Control, is responsible for overseeing quality control across all stadium operations, including Housekeeping, Conversions, Facilities, Safety and Event Operations. This role ensures operational readiness and consistent execution of work through inspections, audits, and data-driven reporting. The Assistant Manager conducts pre-and post-event quality reviews, partners with internal stakeholders to identify risks, drive corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement. Through structured documentation, inspections, and collaboration, this position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality stadium environment for events, staff, and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine facility, event setup, conversion, and logistical inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, compliance, operational readiness, and overall quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Develop, maintain, and present quality control reports, inspection summaries, scorecards, and related documentation to support operational accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of Operations Department standard operating procedures, checklists, and quality control processes.
  • Support training and reinforcement of departmental processes, procedures, inspection standards, and quality expectations for full-time, part-time, and event-day team members.
  • Coordinate, track, and maintain records for required certification courses and training, including forklift, aerial lift, equipment operation, and other applicable safety or operational certifications.
  • Perform quality control reviews of work orders to verify scope accuracy, completion quality, timeliness, and proper close-out documentation.
  • Complete pre-event, post-event, and conversion-related quality control inspections to confirm facility readiness, safety, operational integrity, and adherence to event requirements.
  • Provide on-site operational coverage during events and non-traditional hours, supporting stadium operations as needed to address quality, safety, guest-impacting, and operational issues in real time.
  • Identify deficiencies, communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Housekeeping, Conversions, Security, Event Services, and other internal departments to support a consistent, safe, and event-ready stadium environment.
  • Build, maintain, and organize documentation libraries, including inspection records, quality control checklists, training records, certification files, incident follow-up notes, and safety documentation.
  • Compile and provide accurate data and documentation to support operational reporting, trend analysis, vendor or departmental performance review, risk identification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in evaluating event and non-event operational processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, consistency, safety, communication, and service delivery.
  • Support compliance with venue policies, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable operational procedures related to stadium operations and event execution.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in stadium, arena, convention center, sports, entertainment, or large public assembly facility operations preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in operations, housekeeping, conversions, facilities, event operations, or a related venue operations function preferred.
  • Working knowledge of stadium, arena, convention center, or live event facility operations, including event setup, conversion, cleaning standards, housekeeping, and operational readiness requirements.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and event-based shifts as required by the stadium event calendar.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, adapt to changing operational needs, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment.
  • Experience using work order systems, inspection checklists, quality control tools, or operational reporting platforms preferred.
  • Prior experience documenting inspections, tracking deficiencies, coordinating corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives preferred.

  • Proficiently use a personal computer, Windows-based systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other operational software used for reporting, documentation, inspections, and communication.
  • Operate standard office equipment and technology necessary to support administrative, reporting, and departmental functions.
  • Follow oral and written instructions, interpret operational requirements, and communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, vendors, clients, and event stakeholders.
  • Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments, inspections, follow-ups, and deadlines in a fast-paced stadium operations environment.
  • Work effectively under pressure, respond to changing event needs, and produce accurate, timely results while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, vendors, patrons, public safety partners, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Remain flexible, adaptable, and solution-oriented as operational needs, event requirements, and facility conditions change.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail when conducting inspections, reviewing work orders, documenting deficiencies, and verifying corrective actions.
  • Exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills to identify operational issues, recommend solutions, and support safe, efficient, and event-ready facility conditions.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy when handling reports, inspection records, employee information, and operational documentation.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Forms, with the ability to prepare reports, maintain spreadsheets, create and manage forms, organize documentation, and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use required business systems, including work order platforms, inspection or checklist tools, scheduling systems, document management systems, and other operational reporting software.

  • Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods while conducting facility inspections and supporting event operations.

  • Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, extreme temperatures, noise, dust, confined spaces, and physically demanding environments associated with stadium operations, event preparation, and event execution.
