LACC Mechanic (FT) Union

MECHANIC: In safe and efficient manner, performs maintenance and repairs of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, diesel, gas and propane operated equipment used for power generating, hauling, moving and lifting personnel, supplies and equipment, fire and roll-up doors, electric/gas carts, boom/scissor lifts, trash compactors, sweepers, scrubbers, vehicles, landscaping equipment, air-walls, structural facility repairs, assisting the Engineers with repairs to generators, fire pumps, compressors, exhaust fans and air handler units.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit, stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The Team Member must frequently use a keyboard/computer/tablet screen for extended periods of time. The Team Member is occasionally required to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is exposed to large public/private gatherings indoors/outdoors. Team Member will be exposed to outside weather conditions. Team Member may work in confined spaces. Team Member use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required in certain situations.

Team Member must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate in office setting and moderate to high during events and around loud machinery.

This is an onsite position that requires in-person collaboration with multiple departments and coverage of events from start to finish.
