People on the move deserve a bank that moves with them. Since 2022, Aspora has been building a borderless financial operating system that makes money as mobile and transparent as its users.

Backed by influential venture capitalists like Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, Hummingbird Ventures, Y Combinator & Global Founders Capital. We're a team of 150+ across India, the UK, the UAE, EU and the US, working with extreme ownership, radical candour, and an obsession with customer impact.

We celebrate builders who question assumptions, ship fast, and turn regulatory complexity into elegant solutions. If you’re driven to redefine what global banking can be, we’d love to build the future with you.

About the Role

As Group Chief Compliance Officer, you will lead and scale Aspora’s global compliance function as we expand across multiple markets.

Your role is not only to ensure we meet regulatory requirements — but to build compliance as a strategic advantage for the company. You will design the frameworks, governance, and controls that allow Aspora to move quickly while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and regulatory discipline.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, and Finance to ensure that compliance is embedded into how we build, launch, and scale our products globally.

  • Compliance Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks across product launches, payments flows, remittances, data protection, licensing requirements, and regulatory obligations.

  • Regulatory Engagement: Support regional compliance leaders in managing relationships with regulators, external counsel, and auditors. Ensure regulatory filings, reviews, and assessments are handled accurately and on time.

  • Investigations & Issue Resolution: Lead internal investigations into potential compliance breaches or regulatory concerns. Oversee remediation efforts, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

  • Compliance Culture & Training: Embed compliance into Aspora’s operating culture by developing training programs, ethics standards, and governance processes that scale with the company.

  • Executive & Board Reporting: Track compliance metrics and emerging risks. Provide clear reporting and insights to executive leadership and the board to support risk-aware decision making.

  • Strategic Advisory: Advise leadership on regulatory implications of new markets, products, partnerships, and operational changes ensuring compliance considerations are built into strategy from the outset.
