Plumber

NetCentric LLC, an ASRC Federal subsidiary, is currently looking for a Plumber to join our team in Fairbanks, AK. Responsibilities include the following: •  Perform all duties associated with the maintenance and operation of Plumbing, HVAC, Wastewater Treatment, Potable Water Treatment, Fire suppression equipment, and Oil-Fired Hydronic Boilers.•  Responsible for water filtration and softening systems, obtaining water samples for testing on a periodic basis, and monitoring and reporting on potable and wastewater holding tanks.•  Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.•  Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.•  Follow building plans and blueprints.•  Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.•  Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.•  Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.•  Preform preventative inspections monthly.•  Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.•  Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.•  Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.•  Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.•  Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.•  Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements.•  Other duties, as assigned•  Experience requirement: 7+ years or Journeyman level This is a unionized position and anyone accepting the position must join Fairbanks UA Local 375.
