ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Travel Arranger to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.
Job Description:Serve as a Travel Arranger and primary point of contact for all travel arranging activities, including domestic, foreign, in-kind, and invitational travel, ensuring compliance with Federal Government and NASA Agency policies, and resolving issues as they arise.
Key responsibilities include:
Create, review, and track travel authorizations, amendments, vouchers, and maintain accurate travel records.
Analyze and report on travel trends using Excel, the Travel Request Tool (TRT), and other tools as necessary.
Prepare and review travel documents, ensuring proper grammar and accuracy before submission for electronic signatures and routing.
Assist travelers with regulatory questions, inquiries, and provide high-quality customer service.
Utilize systems such as Concur Government Expense (CGE), TRT, IdMAX, and MOSI to execute tasks efficiently.
Coordinate travel arrangements, including reservations, rental cars, and the submission of travel requests and vouchers through the TMC, currently CGE.
Support travel-related meetings, compile information for audits, and assist with reviews/audits.
Maintain and update documentation in line with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and NASA Procedural Requirements (NPR) and processes.
Manage No Cost Travel submissions, fund certifications, and travel authorization cancellations and de-obligations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to work two or more days per week on-site at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and communicate a clear direction to employees and customers with urgency.
Strong ability to make sound decisions quickly utilizing analysis, experience, and judgment.
Ability to learn quickly and think critically to create innovative solutions for customer and employee needs.
Government travel regulation and system experience preferred.
Proficient knowledge of the Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
Outstanding proactive customer service with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate customer needs by recognizing areas of opportunity and quickly providing solutions.
Must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or 5 years of experience in lieu of degree.
