ASRC Federal Technology Solutions is seeking a Videographer to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Readiness Support Center in Mobile, Alabama.
The RSC prepares emergency management teams for federal disaster response across FEMA Stafford Act missions, flood control and coastal emergencies, dam safety, and flood risk management programs.
The Videographer captures and produces the visual storytelling that brings scenario-based exercise vignettes to life, working from concept through field capture to final delivery. This is a hands-on production role combining field camera work with post-production.
Key Responsibilities
Research and develop scenario-based exercise vignettes depicting hazards including dam and levee emergencies, and summarize proposed concepts for government review as storyboards, written proposals, or presentations
Coordinate with local teams for on-site video and photograph capture at project sites
Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment in field and event settings
Edit footage into finished video products using non-linear editing software
Produce animated and motion graphic elements where a scenario is better told graphically than through live footage
Optimize video length and format for the intended delivery platform, recognizing that long-form platform content differs from short-form social content
Capture still photography supporting all-hazard, levee and flood, and dam safety subject matter
Deliver all products in both an editable version for USACE use and a non-alterable version formatted for public release
Incorporate government review comments through up to five rounds of edits per product
Ensure video deliverables meet Section 508 accessibility standards, including captioning
Maintain accountability for assigned audiovisual equipment and maintain an organized digital media library
Contribute to monthly progress reports identifying tasks required, performed, and completed
Required Qualifications
Five years of professional videography and video editing experience
Associate degree or equivalent; demonstrated portfolio and field experience weighted over formal education
Proficiency with professional camera operation, lighting, and audio recording in field conditions
Proficiency with non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
Ability to produce motion graphics and integrate them with live footage
Strong written English: grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation sufficient to draft scripts and storyboards
Ability to pass E-Verify and provide two valid forms of government-issued identification
Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card
Must be able to pass Tier 1 investigation
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field sites
Preferred Qualifications
Prior federal or Department of Defense experience, including familiarity with DoD branding and data security standards
Broadcast news or live event production background
Professional still photography experience
Experience with Section 508 compliant captioning workflows
Experience producing content optimized for social and digital distribution
Experience in emergency management, flood risk, or public safety communication
Work Environment
Normal working hours are 0630 to 1715, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays
Occasional work outside normal hours may be required to meet deliverable deadlines
Field work may involve outdoor conditions, uneven terrain, and carrying production equipment
Contractor personnel identify themselves as contractors in all interactions, display company identification, and include the company name in their email display
This is a non-personal services position. The incumbent is supervised by ASRC Federal, not by government personnel
