26-004 BENEFIT ELEGIBLE CASUAL EMPLOYEE (BECE)
We are currently accepting expressions of interest for casual BECES to work out of multiple stations.
A BECE is a Benefit Eligible Casual Employee with guaranteed 0.5 FTE hrs of 7 shifts per month (half of FT hours) with no specified hours per shift or shift cycle. BECE’s are eligible for benefits.
BECE’s will provide the company with their shift availability one (1) month in advance for the following month. The employee must provide a minimum availability of seven shifts per month including at least one weekend.
The employee will be assigned shifts in accordance with their availability.
The company will endeavour to pre-schedule shifts whenever possible, and where possible provide a minimum of 24 hours advance notice.
BECE’s must be available to work half of long weekends.

The successful applicant(s) will possess the following qualifications:
- Valid ACP practice permit that meets the requirement for EMS practice in Alberta
- Current, valid Alberta Class IV driver’s license.
- Up to date with all mandatory and required training (including MCP and PDIC)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- 5 year Drivers Abstract
- Successful Completion of FARE in last 6 months
- Immunizations up to date
