Reporting to the Director, HRBP, Culture, and Inclusion, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to assigned business units while providing operational HR support across the employee lifecycle. The role partners with leaders to drive talent, engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring consistent execution of HR programs, policies, and compliance activities. The HRBP supports subsidiaries and centers of excellence in alignment with ASU Enterprise Partners' strategic priorities and culture.
Responsibilities
~1 min readServe as a strategic HR partner to assigned business units and employee groups while providing additional support to the Senior HR Business Partner and Director, HRBP, Culture, and Inclusion across their client groups and organizational initiatives, as needed.
Consult with business leaders and leadership teams to align people strategies with organizational goals and business outcomes.
Advise leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, succession planning, talent management, and employee development initiatives.
Partner with managers to build high-performing teams and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders regarding employee relations matters, performance management, conflict resolution, and employment practices.
Lead and support organizational change initiatives and help leaders navigate change effectively.
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to implement talent, compensation, performance management, learning, and engagement initiatives.
Analyze workforce metrics, employee engagement data, turnover trends, and other key indicators to identify opportunities and develop action plans.
Partner with leadership to improve employee engagement and support engagement survey initiatives and action planning.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as a backup to the HR Coordinator and provide support for day-to-day HR operations to ensure continuity of service and a positive employee experience.
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including employment documentation, exit interviews, and HR system transactions.
Support the maintenance, accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of employee records and HR documentation.
Support compliance activities, audits, and reporting requirements to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.
Partner with the HR Team on projects, process improvement initiatives, and employee experience programs.
Serve as a resource for employee questions and HR-related inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and appropriate resolution.
Provide operational support during periods of increased workload, absences, or business needs to ensure effective delivery of HR services.
Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent development, compliance, and organizational development.
Strong business partnership, consulting, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to influence decisions and effectively communicate with employees and leaders at all organizational levels.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling sensitive employee matters.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and leverage metrics to support decision-making.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and functions.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively manage ambiguity and change.
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including business partnership, employee relations, talent management, and HR operations responsibilities.
Minimum of one year of HR Business Partner experience.
Experience supporting managers and employees across different business units.
Experience in a fast-paced, evolving, and customer-focused environment.
Or any equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Nice to Have
~1 min readSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
Experience with Workday HRIS.
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience supporting nonprofit organizations or multiple business units.
Experience facilitating training and organizational development initiatives.
Ability to understand and use data analytics to inform and guide the decision-making process
Skilled in communicating and interacting with officials at all levels and with private sectors leaders with a high degree of confidence and professionalism
Experience supporting a variety of industries or departments
Ability to find the correct balance between demand and capacity when establishing priorities for the organization
