Data Centre Technician - Amsterdam

• →Attend customer sites as scheduled, following all safety, security, and operational procedures.
• →Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fibre and copper cabling infrastructure.
• →Perform cabling activities in server racks, including patching, dressing, and cable management.
• →Conduct routine inspections of IT, server, and network equipment.
• →Install, relocate, disconnect, and decommission network, server, and storage equipment.
• →Support infrastructure upgrades, including laying additional fibre and copper cabling.
• →Maintain accurate records, complete daily reports, and update stakeholders on work progress.
• →Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and vendors.

• →Understanding of networking concepts, cabling standards, and best practices.
• →Experience installing and troubleshooting structured cabling (copper and fibre).
• →Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools such as OTDR, VFL, and power meters.
• →Basic understanding of networking hardware, including routers and switches.
• →Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• →Ability to work under pressure, manage changing priorities, and meet deadlines.

• →Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Email. 
• →Language proficiency: C1 level in English. 
• →Proficiency in another European language would be advantageous.  
• →Prior experience in a data centre, logistics or construction environment. 
• →Ability to be flexible and travel for work.
• →A valid class B driving licence with a clean driving record.
