ATI is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team in Cudahy, WI. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role provides an opportunity to work directly with manufacturing, engineering, production planning, and finance to improve how products move through our operations.

 

As an Industrial Engineer, you'll combine data analysis, manufacturing knowledge, and hands-on problem solving to evaluate production performance, develop manufacturing standards, improve process efficiency, and identify opportunities for cost and operational improvement. You'll gain exposure to multiple work centers and partner with cross-functional teams to make an impact on both current production and new product introduction.

 

Essential Functions – what you’ll do:

• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, production planning, and finance to evaluate throughput across critical manufacturing equipment and work centers.
• Develop manufacturing standards for products and processes and compare standards against actual production performance.
• Analyze production data and provide insights that help improve existing manufacturing processes and support cost estimates for new products.
• Contribute throughout the Product Realization cycle, including estimation, customer order review, manufacturing through various work centers, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional efforts to improve production, manufacturing, and process efficiency across various work centers.
• Analyze work-center and manufacturing-process performance and communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional leaders.
• Learn and utilize the ERP system to extract, organize, and analyze manufacturing data.
• Support the manufacturing incentive system using ERP reporting and time studies.
• Apply regression techniques to identify trends and uncover opportunities for process and performance improvement.
• Disposition products for rework or clear parts through inspection operations for continued processing.

 

 

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with manufacturing processes and procedures
• Programming experience with C++, Visual Basic, or Python

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to recommend and implement corrective actions.
