Generalist Tax Manager

- Oversee and manage tax compliance and reporting activities for the firm's clientele, including federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and payments.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate any potential impact to the business.
- Conduct research and provide guidance on tax issues and implications for clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax considerations are taken into account in business initiatives and transactions.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with 1040, 1120S, and 1065
- Ideal to have SALT tax experience, and great if you also have experience with trusts/ estates/ gift tax + nonprofits
- Strong tax prep experience
- CPA certification required for Managers & Sr Managers. If applying as a Supervisor-level candidate, we're happy to speak with candidates currently taking the CPA exams or those who've earned EAs (and are working toward/or intend to gain a CPA).
- At least 5 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably in a managerial/ leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax planning and research.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
