Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform CT scans on patients as ordered by physicians, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
- →Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- →Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
- →Administer contrast media and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- →Assist in positioning patients correctly to obtain the best images for diagnosis.
- →Review images for quality and completeness before submitting them to radiologists.
- →Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately in the medical record.
- →Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control practices.
- →Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- →Stay current with advancements in CT technology and continuing education requirements.
Requirements
~1 min read- Regulatory Mastery: Deep knowledge of California Title 17 and 10 CFR 20 (Federal regulations incorporated by California law).
- Technical Judgment: Ability to determine optimal technical exposure factors to minimize patient dose while maintaining diagnostic quality.
- Operational Agility: Proficiency in managing departmental staffing and supplies during emergency surges or equipment failures.
- Potential for weekend availability as we scale west coast region
